Co Norwich SC had a good turn out to this years East Regional Open Water Championships at Whittlingham Broad, Sunday 9th July, Racing 1k to 5k. The weather was a little overcast with the threat of rain and thunderstorms. It did rain during the 3k but luckily there were no storms.
Water Temp was a mild 21.1 degrees – so no wetsuits. Open Water is a totally different swimming experience, not everyone can cope with murky water, weeds and wildlife (above and below the surface) and no turns either. Fantastic results for our City of Norwich Swimmers!
